The Pokémon Company International takes the privacy of our fans seriously. We have taken steps to help keep your and your child's personally-identifiable information (PII) secure. Our website uses the industry standard 128-Bit encryption for all transmission of PII, and was security tested by a leading firm in the industry that also handles web security testing for credit card companies and banks.
The personal data we collect on your child has different requirements and uses depending on what level of membership your child has.
A basic Trainer Club account (for the child) requires only:
- Country
- Birth date
- User name
- Password
- Screen name
- Parent's email address
Organized Play accounts require additional contact information, for the purposes of providing contact and shipping information for prizes, rewards, and other administrative reasons necessary for the Organized Play Program.

Our privacy practices are monitored by the ESRB, which has been accredited by the Federal Trade Commission to oversee privacy administration in conformity with the EU Safe Harbour Guidelines as well as relevant US law.
